Antique Enamel Violet Pendant of 14k Gold

During Victorian and Edwardian times the gift of violets suggested that the giver's thoughts were occupied with love.

A perfect love token, this violet is 14k gold with hand painted enamel and a lustrous accent at its center. The piece was originally an antique brooch by the American maker - Granbery (circa 1900-1910) transformed with the addition of a 14k gold bail.

The violet measures 1 inch from the top to bottom by 0.7 inches wide, and it is in excellent condition.
